WGN-TV and Chicago Home + Garden Magazine are teaming up together to deliver a new multi-platform program called "Bring It Home." The new program will be seen on television, in print and online.
The new "Bring It Home" program is a home design showcase that will spotlight the best in Chicago interior design ideas, along with helpful advice on how to duplicate the home design ideas shown in the viewers' own homes. "Bring It Home" originated from a current editorial section in Chicago Home + Garden Magazine. It will now be blossoming into a half hour television show, an ongoing print feature in the magazine, and online with the newly launched website BringItHomeChicago.com. There is also a Facebook page and Twitter account running for "Bring It Home." The television program of the same name makes it debut on Sunday, February 13th on WGN-TV. It will air each Sunday at 11:00am. An encore showing of that Sunday's "Bring It Home" will air on CLTV -- as many as twelve times throughout each week, at varying times. The television show will be hosted and produced each week by Rochelle Vayo Adkinson. Since March 2008, she has been the host and producer of "HomesPlus," which airs on WGN-TV at the same time slot that "Bring It Home" will be taking over. The new show will be very similar, but with a greater focus on home design, especially high-end home design.  Rochelle Vayo Adkinson also blogs about desserts for the Chicago Examiner website (she is a self-professed cookie addict) and has been blogging with regularity for the "HomesPlus" blog on the Tribune's ChicagoNow blogsite. Not only will Adkinson be giving viewers a look into the world of high-end design on her television show, she will also be visiting Chicagoland furniture shops, home accessory stores and local, but little known design locations, to show the audience how they can re-create the custom high-end design look, with some simple off-the-shelf shopping. She will then give even more tips online and within Chicago Home + Garden Magazine. Chicago Home + Garden Magazine is a division of Chicago Magazine, which is owned by Tribune Company. WGN-TV and CLTV are operated by Tribune Broadcasting, also owned by Tribune Company.
