As has been the case for many years, the event, in addition to honoring Chicago athletes, will be a benefit for the March of Dimes. Since 1987, the Comcast SportsNet Sports Awards has raised almost $7 million dollars to support the March of Dimes' mission to improve the lives of those born with birth defects, as well as finding ways to prevent birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

The live event will also feature over 100 items in a silent auction that will include such items as autographed sports memorabilia, sports tickets, golf outings, spa packages, fine dining experiences, hotel stays, vacation packages including airfare, entertainment packages, and much more. Most of the auction items will be announced a short time in advance of the event at this link HERE.
