The Chicago White Sox organization have announced their plans to broadcast much of their Spring Training games on one or more mediums of either television, radio, or Internet audio stream. In total, 20 out of the team's 33 Spring Training games will be made available for the eyes or ears of fans.

Of the 20 games being made available for fans to enjoy, six will be shown on television (five on Comcast SportsNet Chicago and one on WGN-TV), nine will be on the radio on WSCR-AM, and 12 games will be heard on an Internet-only stream found on at WhiteSox.com.

Fans can access the Internet radio "webcast" streams by registering for a free account with the website and logging in. For the third year in a row, the broadcast team for the Internet radio streams will be Trey Bender calling the play-by-play and former White Sox slugger Bill Melton on color commentary. The first Internet-only broadcast of a Spring Training game will take place on Monday, March 5th, the very first Spring Training game, when the White Sox take on the LA Dodgers, in Glendale, AZ.

The first terrestrial radio broadcast also happens on the first Spring Training game, Monday, March 5th, which will be heard on the White Sox's flagship radio station, WSCR-AM. Returning once again for The Score will be the broadcast team of former White Sox pitcher Ed Farmer on play-by-play and former White Sox outfielder Darrin Jackson on color commentary. WSCR-AM will have pre- and post-game shows with host Chris Rongey. Additionally, four of the nine Spring Training game radio broadcasts (March 10, 17, 24, and 25) will feature an interactive format, allowing listeners to interact with Farmer, Jackson, and Rongey via the Internet during the broadcasts.

The first televised Spring Training game will not be until Friday, March 8th, when the White Sox take on the Chicago Cubs. It will be shown on WGN-TV and will actually be the Chicago Cubs broadcast team of Len Kasper and Bob Brenly. The first true White Sox televised Spring Training game does not take place until March 23rd when the White Sox take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. This game (and all subsequent White Sox Spring Training TV broadcasts) is on Comcast SportsNet Chicago. The White Sox television broadcast team for the fourth year in a row will be Ken “Hawk” Harrelson on the play-by-play and Steve Stone on color commentary.
