A Chicago-based rock & roll podcast operation and a Chicago-based rock & roll restaurant & bar operation are teaming up to begin a new live event series of discussion shows. Dynasty Podcasts has partnered up with Rockit Ranch Productions to present an ongoing series of live panel discussions for Chicago's premier music and media industry talent, beginning early next month.
On March 6th, the first installment of an industry-focused live podcast & event series presented by Dynasty Podcasts & Rockit Ranch Productions will take place. The first "Building A Brand Online" panelcast will feature:
- Ernest Wilkins: pop culture writer & social media/events producer for the Chicago Tribune's RedEye
- Andrew Barber: creator/founder of the Chicago Hip-Hop website FakeShoreDrive.com and weekly contributor to WGCI-FM
- Brittany Ireland: Model, Playboy model, former Q101 Token Hottie, Internet radio show co-host
- Jeremy Scheuch: General Manager of the Chicago events website Do312.com
- Bob Nanna: Marketing Manager for the independent t-shirt company Threadless and musician
The Rockit.LIVE "Building A Brand Online" panelcast will be hosted by Jaime Black, the creator of Dynasty Podcasts and former producer/contributor/digital media manager of WKQX-FM/Q101's long-running local music showcase "Live 101." He is also the host of Dynasty Podcasts' excellent local music podcast, ChicagoVerseUniteD, and a freelance music journalist.
The March 6th event will be held at Rockit Bar & Grill - River North, located at 22 W. Hubbard Street in Chicago, starting at 6:00pm. Anybody age 18 and over may attend the live show, which is free of charge. The event will be on the upstairs level of Rockit River North.
For those who can't attend in person, it will be streamed live via the Dynasty Podcasts' Mixlr and Ustream channels. Additionally, the panel event will later be released as an audio and video Dynasty Podcast. Leyla Royale will supervise the audio, while Colleen Mares supervises the video.
Following this initial panelcast show, Shaun Barrett will host a pre-Austin SXSW 2012 meet-up mixer for the local Chicago music industry. Barrett is the manager of The Sound Scene, the founder/manager at Lets Get Messy Events, and the owner/managing partner for the 4 Ohm Entertainment Group.
The live podcast and event series by Dynasty Podcasts & Rockit Ranch Productions will become a regular monthly happening after this initial show on March 6th.
