It is all here...
* * Of course, tomorrow is Super Sunday. The Super Bowl and its umpteen hours of pre-game hype will be televised on CBS, starting at 11:00am. For those unable or unwilling to watch the game on TV, the radio broadcast of Super Bowl XLIV will be on WSCR-AM 670. They will have 3.5 hours of pre-game hype, starting at 2:00pm, with the game broadcast starting at 5:30pm. Following the end of the national broadcast, Jason Goff will be on the air for a live Chicago post-game wrap up, followed by Les Grobstein and Midnight, who will be doing the same. WMVP-AM 1000 will have its hype-fest early in the morning. From 5:00am-9:00am will be a special Sunday Mike & Mike in the Morning program, featuring special guest, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. After that will be "Countdown to Kickoff" airing from 9:00am-12:30pm. Following that football special, there will be no other NFL talk on ESPN1000 until after the game ends. ![]() * * Prior to The Score airing its heapin' helpin' of Super Bowl broadcasts, Bruce Wolf will be doing some more fill-in work on WSCR. Bruce, alongside Mike Esposito, will be on the air from Noon until 2:00pm. ![]() * * Prior to CBS' almost 11 hours of nationally televised Super Bowl programming Sunday, WBBM-TV will be airing a special one-hour Sunday episode of their new weekday morning program, "Monsters and Money in the Morning." The episode will be on from 10:00am until 11:00am. Hosts Dan Jiggetts, Mike North, Terry Savage and Mike Hegedus will all be there. With it being Super Bowl Sunday, they will more than likely talking sports & the business of sports, more than money & news headlines, as their Monday-Friday show normally does. ![]() * * There is a special event happening tomorrow that has nothing at all to do with the Super Bowl or sports. CLTV's Garrard McClendon will be speaking at Christ Universal Temple (11901 S. Ashland Ave., Chicago), this Sunday, February 7th, from 10:00am-Noon. He will speak on the subject of "Forgiveness" -- a subject he has been forced to examine himself after his own elderly parents were senselessly murdered in their house last October by intruders to their Indiana home. McClendon he has forgiven the perpetrators and wants to speak to others about how to open one's heart and release the baggage of the past. There is no fee to attend, but seating is limited. ![]() * * Tonight at 7:00pm, WLFM, Chicago's Smooth Jazz station will be premiering the brand new Sade album , Soldier of Love. All 10 cuts will be played. ![]() ![]() * * In other WLFM news, be sure to tune into Rick O'Dell's midday show on weekdays at 11:00am, where he plays the "Rick O'Dell Remembers" song of the day. To try and figure out just what song will be aired, you can play the "Rick O'Dell Remembers" Quiz on the 87.7 Facebook fan page earlier that morning. Rick will throw out a handful of clues about the artist and/or song there. ![]() * * Just like many of Chicago's local TV stations do on weekends, it's time for the Chicagoland Radio & Media Real Estate show! Here are a few recent media-related real estate happenings... - WMVP-AM's Chicago Bulls announcer, Comcast SportsNet golf show host and Chicago sports talker, Steve Kashul recently sold his three-bedroom, ranch-style house in Naperville, complete with a full-size basement bowling alley, for $475,000. He and his wife are also looking to sell their second home on Lake Holiday near Sandwich, IL, before purchasing a new home near Kemper Lakes Golf Club in Kildeer, where the busy Mr. Kashul also works as the Director of Membership. - WLS-TV's sports anchor, Mark Giangreco recently sold his two-bedroom, two-bath loft condo in River West for $425,000. Giangreco has moved to the South Loop's One Museum Park building, where he paid $1.225 million for a three-bedroom, upper floor condo. - Also from WLS-TV, morning news anchor Judy Hsu sold her three-bedroom, farmhouse-style house in Hinsdale for $590,000. She and her husband had already purchased a larger home in the same area for $1.05 million a few months ago, to make room for their growing family. Many of you will remember that Judy Hsu gave birth to her fourth child in her car on the side of the Eisenhower Expressway last October, as she and her husband were rushing to get the hospital. - WSCR-AM & WTMX-FM's Brian Paruch and his wife has listed their four-bedroom, three and a half-bathroom house in Arlington Heights for sale for $599,900. - Comcast SportsNet's reporter/anchor Luke Stuckmeyer bought a two-bedroom, two-bath home in the Ukrainian Village $457,000 last month. - Former WBBM-TV news reporter and anchor (2000-2004), Stacia Dubin and her husband recently sold their Gold Coast high-rise condo that was 2,300-square feet with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, for $720,000.
