"Website Wednesdays" and the Cybersquad, heard for years each Wednesday night on Steve King & Johnnie Putman's overnight show on WGN-AM, has been an online webinar since December. Tonight's Cybersquad live webinar will be a special one, as computer & technology expert Mike DiMichele will give an exclusive preview of the upcoming Windows 8 operating system.
The webinar can be seen tonight from 7:00pm to around 9:00pm will take place on the
Cybersquad page of his
SaveMyButt.com website. DiMichele will be examining how Windows 8 looks, how the new navigation and Metro UI screen works, some of the new functions, and talking about the learning curve required to use it. Those with questions can call in at the phone number provided and be part of the live show.
WGN-AM made the tough decision to
take the Steve & Johnnie Show off the air last December. The "Website Wednesday" feature was part of Steve King & Johnnie Putman's overnight radio show for about 14 years. For 2-3 hours on Wednesdays, listeners could call in to the show to get answers on computer & technology questions, as well as keep up with the latest technology news. For the last 12 years of that popular segment, Mike DiMichele was on WGN-AM's airwaves each Wednesday night part of the team of technology experts that came to be called the Cybersquad.
After the end of Steve & Johnnie's show, DiMichele decided to try and
keep "Website Wednesday" alive, due to the high demand from fans. It has been an almost-weekly webinar each Wednesday night since then.
