The 2012 PromaxBDA Local Station Summit Promotion & Marketing Conference was held in Las Vegas, NV last week, which included its annual awards ceremony, honoring outstanding promotion, marketing and design content in the North American entertainment television industry from the year prior. This year, Chicago-based Tribune Creative was the biggest winner of all, with 26 awards, including seven for WGN-TV. Chicago's WMAQ-TV also won an award.
Tribune Creative was able to celebrated a whopping 26 wins at the PromaxBDA Local Awards -- made up of 15 Gold, six Silver and five Bronze Awards -- more than any other station or station group in North America.
The Tribune Creative division is Tribune Broadcasting's in-house creative team. All of the Tribune Creative awards were work done in the calendar year of 2011 entirely in-house.
