Just as they did on
October 3rd for the first Presidential debate, WGN-AM 720 will break from its normal programming to carry the audio of the two remaining Presidential debates, as well as tonight's Vice-Presidential debate live on its airwaves. The debates will be preceded by shortened versions of "WGN Sports Night." The station will have an expanded edition of "Extension 720 with Milt Rosenberg" following each debate.
The remaining debates, all of which will be carried by WGN-AM, are as follows:
- Thursday, October 11, 8:00pm-9:30pm - Vice-Presidential Debate from Centre College, Danville, KY
- Tuesday, October 16, 8:00pm-9:30pm - Presidential Debate #2 from Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY
- Monday, October 22, 8:00pm-9:30pm - Presidential Debate #3 from Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL
"WGN Sports Night," which normally airs from 7:00pm-10:00pm, will only be heard for one hour to make room for these debates, airing instead from 7:00pm-8:00pm.
Immediately following the debate, which should end at approximately 9:30pm, "Extension 720 with Milt Rosenberg" will take to the airwaves to discuss the debate. The normally two hour show will air for an additional 30 minutes, thanks to its earlier start time.
