As mentioned here a month ago, Kurt Hanson will be bringing his RAIN Summit to the huge Conclave Learning Conference which now takes place in just a couple of weeks. On his online RAIN Newsletter yesterday, Hanson announced that Chicago radio legend Steve Dahl will now be the keynote speaker for RAIN Summit on July 17th.
Dahl, who has always been very tech savvy and often talking about the latest Internet-based gadgets on his radio show, will address the large crowd about the combination of radio and the Internet. With Dahl now successfully doing his daily show in podcast form and promoting it heavily via social networking & website advertising, this is a subject he knows very well. Dahl has known Hanson for many years and previously was part of a fun panel of experts at the RAIN Summit West which took place in Las Vegas on April 12th of this year. He will now be the first-ever keynote speaker at the first-ever RAIN Summit Midwest. As Kurt Hanson wrote, "His presentation promises to be entertaining, enlightening and unmissable!" ![]() Another big Chicago radio name will be participating at the RAIN Summit Midwest, too. John Gehron, local radio programming legend and current AccuRadio COO, who will moderate a panel discussion on "Programming Your Station's Stream." ![]() The first annual RAIN Summit Midwest will take place on Saturday July 17th at the Doubletree Park Place Hotel in Minneapolis, as part of the 35th annual Conclave Learning Conference (an annual event that seeks to improve radio broadcasting via the education of those working within it) taking place there from July 15th through the 17th.
